Jeff Sparks, on GoogleAlison at Hearing Lab in Elgin was extremely helpful. She gave me a suggestion for an otc nasal gel to use for sinus stuffiness when I mentioned that was an issue for me. After my hearing test she recommended a source for hearing insurance that I hadn't considered. She also discussed some Medicare supplemental plans that were better than others for coverage. In the end she asked me to do some homework on insurance and get back to her when I decided which was the best for me to purchase new hearing aids with rechargeable batteries. Lastly, she fitted new batteries in an old pair of hearing aids our family had so that I could wear those temporarily.

She took the time to explain our hearing test results and which hearing aids would be best suited for our needs. There wasn’t any “rushing or pressuring” us to make a decision. She just showed a genuine desire to be helpful and be sure that we understood what our needs were and which product would best help us.
